Hello my fellow bloggers!!!!!!!

So what is new you ask?  Well, I went on two camping trips this summer, which was a blast!  No cats !!!!  I got to spend time with Mom & Dad at the Elk Island Park, the lake, etc.  It was great to run around and I loooooooooooooooovvvvvvvvvveeeeeeee  trees and flowers more than I thought…  The long walks and running all over the place was so much fun!

I enjoyed the campfire the most…  the smell of the fire was nice but the best part was the marshmallow roasting on the open fire..   Those marshmallows are delicious but messy indeed!  My nose was so sticky!  yikes!

We skipped Halloween this year because my parents had to get ready for their trip the next day but that is ok..  I didn’t mind spending time with my family and just hanging out.

Grams recently stayed with me last week while my parents were on holidays in Las Vegas.  I wanted to go with them but being a long road trip, I decided it was best I stay at home and help Grams with the cats.  Now the cats were trying to eat my biscuits and chew sticks so I had to create a new hiding spot in Mom’s office hee hee ….  They never knew as I wrapped my treasures up in the dog blankets on the office floor and no one was the wiser until Mom (Hawkeye’s) discovered them…  She is too darn smart..  She laughed when she found them ..  Ah I knew he would find them…

A pic of Grams and I :

As with Grams visits she tends to feed us a little more than Mom would so I am trying to stay active to drop a few pounds I think I might have put on.   MOM says spoils us!!!!    Grams was watching some pretty weird shows – some Kolchak television show on NetFlix…  it was pretty scary stuff..  Monsters and such really gave me goose bumps up my spine…  I ended up under the covers alot as to not see what scary monster was on the t.v.   Sly my brother was a real scaredy cat and left the room…   Sometimes he is such a chicken…  Better to have Grams close by if the monsters want to eat someone she will go first and I can plan my escape…    NO, I would protect Grams!    But just in case Sly and I devised a plan to get fed, if worse came to worse.  He would open the cupboard that has the pet food in it and I would open the bag of food.  Willow my big tabby sister agreed to let me out to go to the bathroom as she is truly a cat burglar by nature.  She has the doorknob pretty much mastered and she also suggested setting the alarm system off in the worse case scenario…

I have a video of Willow trying to open the front door but I need to upgrade my blog to include videos so I better keep this short and ask Mom if I can do that???

We had snow here for a few weeks!!!!!!!!!!!  yippee!!!!!!!!!!  Rooter Doodle is Back in Action!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   But then again I have to wear itchy sweaters too now..  ah well, all good xx

Watch for my next blog on DANGEROUS DOG TREATS….

I am getting tired,

sweet dreams from your friend

Tribute to my Big Sister Princess

Posted: November 20, 2012 in Uncategorized

  Hello my fellow bloggers,

It has been awhile since I have blogged after a busy summer and life in general I have returned.

It has been a somber 6 weeks at home since my big sister Princess went to what Mom calls kitty heaven.  I did not understand what she meant at first and I was searching the house for Princess and then I realized that she was not coming back.

Mom is very sad and my work is cut out for me.  I give her kisses and hugs as much as I can.  She smiles and rubs my tummy but she is not her usual funny self.  Loss is a hard thing for humans to deal with as a dog of course I sense people’s pain and hurt too.

I will miss my friend and my sister Princess but I know she has gone to a good place and is not sick anymore or alone.

Love you family all that you can because life can be short.

Hugs

Molly

Hello loyal bloggers and followers!

Grams basement flooded and she had quite a mess ….

I had to endure two grooming sessions and four baths this summer…

What a wild summer I had ..  Two awesome camping trips and talk about the humidity and thunderstorms!  Those dreaded muck puddles BLAH!  ewwwwwwwwwwww!

I have not been keeping up my blog – I guess I was on a sabbatical,  yeah that sounds good LOL…

Mom and I are having a chicks only weekend, Arroo!!   We are going to enjoy some time together at the off leash and the parks in between her studies, articles and blogs.  She truly is a great mentor..

The cats have been unruly today!  jumping on the furniture, knocking fans over, and my sister cats are fighting over who can sleep in my dog bed huh!  And I am ignoring their hissy fits and kitty tantrums because I get the whole human bed to myself with Mom. MUAH!!!!!!!!!!!

MMM something tasty I  can smell in the kitchen, are the biscuits being cooked now?  OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  biscuits!   Nummy! Nummy!

YO Mummy for my tummy!  Snoopy dance..

Slinks into the kitchen and lies on floor – four paws in the air..  little groan got to get her attention…  whimper, sigh …..

Mom are the biscuits ready?  I want one hot out of the oven?  Are they ready yet, huh?  yes?  Now? pretty please ( lowers eyelids and looks at floor)..  hmmmm!   hmmmm!

Ah got to run friends sorry, biscuits over blogging.

Sweet dreams & have a wonderful weekend…  oops

oh oh biscuit crumbs on floor…. Yikes Mom’s coming around the corner, quick drop biscuit by Sylvester;s ( big bro cat)  hee hee he is going to be so busted..

Oh oh Mom saw me chewing….  “Molly did you take that biscuit already?” “That is dangerous going into the oven like that. Only Mom does that,ok.” whimper, sigh…  oh ho hum….

Night folks

Hello Bloggerville,

I tried to use Doggerville but I have no credit card and I could not find Dad’s to charge it too.

My name is Molly and humans refer to me as a Pooshie or She-poo, basically this means I am a cross between a poodle and a Shitzu dog.  I am one of those rare pooshies shall we say, as I think that makes me sounds cute and sweet and one must uphold this view  to remain saintly in my Mom’s eyes.  Sorry, I meant my human Mom’s eyes..   Now, on occasion I am also referred to as, get this one, a fur baby.  What will they ever think of next?

I arrived into my human family as a gift and although that is not generally recommended by the experts, things have been very good for me here.  My addition to the family slightly rattled my primary care giver, the one I call Mommy.  She has never had a puppy before and she was a hawk eye Mom from word go!  I swear she had eyes in the back of her head and dark circles under her eyes from my late night bathroom jaunts every few hours.  She did not sleep much the first six months and I will take full responsibility for that.

She bought all these books on training your puppy and such and resigned to just try a hands on approach.  She said love and patience is all I needed to learn the rules, she was right.

.What I have failed to tell you is that I am not the only fur baby in this house.  I have my buddy/ big brother and I mean big, he weighs almost 24 lbs named Sylvester who I hang with in the yard and who tries to eat my food .. Can you imagine!  Well he gets a little nip when he tries that kind of stuff.  There is the one whom I call my archnemesis aka Princess who is Persian and gets fur all over my puppy bed that most annoys me.  Princess is a sneak, she smacks me when my back is turned and I step away.  I am not a fighter, I am a lover.  Princess uses these cutesy little rubs on Mom’d legs and purrs but Mommy knows she hits me.  Princess has insinuated I am a fink because I tell on her when she does things she is not suppose to, such as clawing the rug.  There is an older gray tabby named Willow that seems to be a good friend here too.

I guess all in all, we love each other and that is what matters.  Our home is relatively peaceful and we watch out for each other.  Come to think of it the cats and I get along better than most humans and if you watch the news humans do some pretty nasty things to other people.

Sorry my fellow bloggers I must now rest for a few hours

Hello fellow bloggers,

My apologies for geting so behind on my blogs.  It has been a busy spring & summer here at the homestead.

Let’s start back in April 2012:

Mom and Dad went away for a week and left me with Grams.  They went to Jamaica which Mom tells me was a very relaxing trip.  Well, it was not so relaxing here with the cats but I know I am suppose to babysit them so they did not get away wit very much lol… I also got  agroom that month and that one did nt last very long as my fur seems to grow like a weed at this time of year.

Grams and Auntie Jen moved to a nice, newer condo in late April 2012, I like their new place.  It is bigger which means I get to run around more and Grams sure seems to be happier too.  xoxoxxo  to Grams.  Grams has a treat box for me too …  Got to love Granny’s they do spoil a girl hee hee.

I do not have much to report for May and June other than alot of rain.

I see my profile pic still shows me in the snow.  Yowza I need a new pic here.

OK, I better get going or Mom will catch me on the laptop and tell me to go to sleep little one.

Huggles and love

Ms. Molly  ( yes Ms.because I am a single pooshie baby)

BTW if you want to read my Mom’s uplifting blog here it is :http://littleburstsofinspiration.wordpress.com/

Oh JOY!

The snow is falling here and has been for over a day, on and off!  My routering may return by the end of the weekend..

Glorious snowflakes are making my yard into a play zone….

I may not be back blogging for a few days as I am going to be playing in this as much as I can.

Drive safe and have a great weekend

❤ & hugs

Molly

Good eveningk my fellow bloggers,

Did I scare you with my menacing tone – Good eveningk!

Today I would like to discuss what I refer to as the observations of the human and feline species.  It appears to me that humans go through alot of doors and walk up and down many stairs.   This requires a fair amount of activity for me at home following the humans around the house add to that the feline antics that occur on a daily basis.    Many times I have been swiped at by a cat as I near a doorway or Sylvester bowls me over trying to get into the bedroom at night. On more than one occasion I have snapped at him for getting so pushy and once I caught a piece of his fur with my teeth..  Mom and I had a talk about that one and she was not happy that I hurt Sylvester.   One has to watch one’s nose as those doors can snap you smack dab in the noodle and that is not fun.. My poodle body cringes at the thought of this!  Some of the terminology humans use is quite hilarious and I can’t contain this much longer.

These doors are like obstacle courses I have to dodge them which is not easy when you have your nose right up against Mom’s knees nor is it easy for Mom to get past my nose.  It is kind of a carefully choreographed dance number we perform many times a day.  Sometimes Sly gets in the way too as he thinks he can stick his nose on Mom’s other knee.  Now when Ma and Pa arrive at the front door you never know what you might find?  Grocery day is my favourite one of all.   This is the time I get to leap out at them and try to get hugs while they balance all the bags and try to get them in the house.  Then I immediately jump on one of  their laps and insist they cuddle with me before they unpack any of the food items.  Meanwhile, my brother Sylvester checks out the bags only to be told to keep his nose out of them by Mom.  Pandemonium soon breaks out as the cats realize it is feeding time, tails swirl around Mom and Dad’s ankles and cries to desperately be fed come from Princess and Willow that could curl my poodle fur like a tight perm.  Mom calls this the Meow Mix song but it is hard on my nerves !  Sylvester starts to slink  his way to his food dish almost tripping Mom in the process.

The next area I have noticed is these grumblings humans and cats make and they say dogs are hard to understand!  Such comments from Mom about the laundry and going up the stairs. ” We need to get one of those types that goes to the gym here to use our free Stairmaster!” and then there is Dad “Ohh my ankle, these bloody stairs!”   Back to Mom again ” Is it any wonder my knee hurts going up and down these things all day!”  They also have a few more that I don’t quite understand for example, Grrrr!!! or my favourite “God help us if one of use breaks a leg in this house.”  Yes, we have a couple of old timers here, hee hee!   This is not really funny I suppose…  I think what Mom and Dad say is funny, in all honesty..

Sylvester starts the werewolf howling sessions around midnight. which is the madness hour.  Ah yes, the cats go loopy around this time!  Willow tries to engage me in a game of chase and then jumps up on the scratch post as she knows I can’t get her.  Then there is the feisty Princess, she is like Rocky Balboa hiding around the corner with that quick right uppercut just waiting to clobber me.  Ask me why  I go to bed and jump under the covers around midnight???  I fear this cat insanity might be contagious!

OH, oh Hawkeye aka Mommy is getting closer….

This is Molly’s Mom: Molly that is not very funny what you said about the old timers..  You wait until you get older and see what we go through.  When the fur babies turn!  🙂  BTW The cat crazies is not contagious.

It is past my bedtime I have been informed, so sweet dreams blogger friends

(Cat)ch ya later gators

Hello Fellow Bloggers: humans, canines, felines, etc,

Is this winter or what?

I don’t usually blog in a rant format but you know where is the snow this year?  Mom says “be careful what you wish for, you might just get it and lots! ”  This lack of snow is not meeting with my approval at all!  I can’t do my usual snow rooting and I enjoy this so much!

I wish to meet this Old Man Winter guy and ask him what is going on?  On the positive side of life at least it is warmer and I can go out with my bro Sylvester and chase him around.  I get more walks in when it is warm and that is a bonus.

In other news, I went to the salon yesterday and had a bath and got groomed.  It is amazing how those long nails interfere with my keyboarding skills, I am so glad they are now shorter..  Again as a reward after being well behaved at the groomers Mom bought me a new pink sweater, I allowed her to let me try it on in the store as she said ” we need to make sure it fits”.   I remember saying I don’t do pink well but her intentions were good and I do own a pink collar so I guess this is what Diva dogs do!    Only joking, I am not a Diva dog just a little pooshie with spunk!

I heard a rumor that they have a thing called a snow machine?  I wonder…  going to check Kijiji maybe I can buy one with my piggy bank money?

Signing off snowless in Edmonton,

Hugs and god bless all of you.
